Ok after the critic which I got in my previous work mentioning that my shading is flat, I've decided to try shading it in a different way. Not sure if it has improved or still look flat but anyways, critics and comments are most welcome >.<
I think it looks better than if you tried to blend the shades and b&w degrees - with a tissue, your fingers or something; I like the effect of a rough sketch, though this is not exactly the case, it's just that the details are pronounced, yet the shading looks done in a hurry, if you get what I mean
well actually this is cross hatching I know that soft shadings are one of the ways to give a much more realistic style but I prefer this style much more (besides I learnt this from college/uni so that's why I'm used to this style =X)
Either way I guess everyone has a different idea of drawing Thanks for your comment though
I don't really know how various types of drawing are called, but I think I can express what I think about them in a manner which makes it kind of easy to understand Check out my drawings - they are only 3 for now, and because of lack of time, there won't be another one for some time now - there's the more realistic way of drawing shades
Hah, if you got accustomed to this particular style while in college, it's so much more for the better for you, you already have the appropriate skills
Yes, indeed, everyone has various ideas of drawing, and you can never know when they happen to shift styles a bit, just a little bit, like on the edge of 2 different ones, that's when a little bit of magic appears
You're very welcome I will drop by your gallery again some other time, because unfortunately, as I said, time works against me...
Is that crosshatch shading? Lol XD I LOVE THE PICCY I Wish i could draw like this i love the tilt on the head its a really dramatic pic damn you're an inspiration Lol WHERE On EARTH Do you get your ideas?? I WANT SOME! XD I Love how it looks i only wish i could draw like that and make it awesomesauce Lol Did you use pen for the outline or is the pic all pencil? Im just curious..Hmm Wish i had a scanner then i could scan them instead of getting carpy webbycam pics Lol
yea crosshatching I wasn't sure if it suits this anime-ish style but no harm trying XD Lol ideas just comes out if you keep sketching or drawing? Iuno lol. Some people might get their ideas in a different way but for me I would get them when I'm sketching or something inspires me by looking at other people's work
I Reckon it suits the style well XD Yeah they do come from just randomly sketching things into my book but then it takes time to build up a strong image of what i want it to look like without it completely changing XD
